A friend of mine has a little Scottish Terrior that she is absolutely crazy about. I doubt this little man even knows he is a d-o-g so please don't tell him. After one of the hottest summers in several years with fleas and ticks being a serious problem, my friend's little doggie was really suffering with dry, scaly, skin that he had scratched until it was raw in several places. To top it off, he was allergic to fleas and every one he ever came in contact with made him feel as though he had thousands on his body. She had tried everything from pills to shots and all sorts of expensive creams, shampoos, dips, and ointments. She decided to try Doggie Paddle soap at only $5.00 per bar and I do believe I saw her roll her eyes as she said, "it can't hurt."
     Well, when I saw her the following day she was so happy she could hardly contain herself. She told me that he had felt so much better after his bath that he fell into a quiet sleep and slept undisturbed through the night. I'm certain it was because this was the first rest he had had in several weeks. Now we are watching him to make certain that he continues to improve.
